Molly Dreher

Molly Dreher is 17 years old and is about to begin her first year at Queens University, where she will study Kinesiology. She has been a member of Youth Team Canada for the past three years and joined Senior Team Canada in May 2024.

Her long-term goal is to reach the semifinals at a Lead World Cup. Molly loves traveling the world, whether for competitions or leisure.

Two of her favorite trips include training in Innsbruck in July 2024 and a family vacation to Disney World in December 2021.

Evan Lau

At 17 years old, Evan Lau has already built an impressive resume. He has been the Canadian Youth Lead Champion for the past three years and the Canadian Youth Boulder Champion for the last two years.

This year, Evan is starting his studies in Nursing at Mount Royal University in Calgary. His goals include qualifying for the 2025 Youth World Climbing Championships in Helsinki and making the World Cup team.

In addition to his climbing achievements, Evan is also the provincial baking champion and placed 4th at nationals.

Gabriella Beaumont

Gabriella Beaumont is 16 years old. She sent her first 5.12 lead climb outside at the age of 12 and completed her first V7 that same summer. The following summer, she sent Anti-gravity 5.12 c/d.

In 2023, she finished 3rd at Lead Youth Nationals and represented Canada at the Youth World Championship in Seoul. Gabriella has multiple Provincial Championship titles in her age group, both in Lead and Bouldering, and achieved a 2nd place finish at her first open lead Provincial.

She currently attends Canterbury High School, where she specializes in the Visual Arts program.

Sofie King

Sofie, a 17-year-old from North Vancouver, BC, has been climbing for five years, with two years of competitive experience. While competitions have been her primary focus recently, she also loves outdoor bouldering in Squamish during the summers.

When not climbing, Sofie enjoys skiing with friends, keeping up with school, and volunteering at a facility for elderly people with dementia—a reflection of her commitment to both her passions and her community.

Jenice Ma

Jenice is 25 years old and is currently finishing up her medical degree (MD) at the University of Alberta where she hopes to specialize in sports medicine. Jenice has been climbing for 4 years and dabbles in both the competition and outdoor climbing worlds.

Her happiest climbing moments have been sending Meadowlark Lemon (V12) in Red Rocks, travelling for North American Cups, and hanging out with the homies on outdoor trips.

Looking ahead, Jenice is excited to push her limits with climbing and is hoping to combine her future career as a doctor with her love for climbing.

Antoine Caron

At just 15 years old, Antoine Caron has already built an impressive competition resume. He has multiple podium finishes in his age group and delivered a standout performance at the 2023 Provincial Championships in the open category. Antoine is set to become a formidable competitor on the circuit.
